WUE technologies report now available

An Appraisal to Identify and Detail Technology for Improving Water Use Efficiency in Irrigation in the Queensland Murray Darling Basin. (BAP Report)

The big name matches the size of this report but the 417 page document is full of interesting and useful information. The Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) commissioned a review of water use efficiency in the Queensland Murray Darling Basin through the Healthy HeadWaters Water Use Efficiency program and the report is the result of this project. The review, which was undertaken by the National Centre for Engineering in Agriculture and FSA Consulting, collected information from a variety of irrigation stakeholders via irrigator surveys, case studies and consultation forums. Included in the report are sections on assessment of potential water saving options, adoption of water saving options, case studies and reviews of previous WUE initiatives, just to name a few.
